UK quotation template
Offer a price in pounds. VAT Notice 700/21 describes a VAT invoice. This quotation is not that document, and it does not convert VAT into sterling.
Official sources
AllForm does not replace these sources, and the PDF is not filed for you.
What you type stays in this browser. The server does not keep the PDF.
Choosing a country opens that page and keeps what you have typed.
A tax row on this quotation is an estimate. The PDF total stays Quoted total.
VAT is shown in the selected currency. This page does not convert the VAT amount to sterling.
How to fill this in
A quotation asks the customer to accept a price. It is separate from the Estimate form, which is for a rough cost, and from the invoice you issue later. The currency starts as GBP. Use Valid until for the expiry, and Notes for the conditions you actually offer.
If you are VAT registered and want to show a possible VAT amount, type the rate. The row is labeled estimated. If you are not VAT registered, leave the rate empty so the PDF has no VAT row. The page does not turn that amount into sterling and does not add the VAT-invoice particulars by itself.
Choose A4 or US Letter before you download. Empty dates, rates, and business numbers stay empty.
FAQ
Is a UK quotation a VAT invoice?
No. A VAT invoice is issued for a supply by a VAT-registered business. This PDF is only the offer.
Should a business that is not VAT registered show VAT?
No. Leave the VAT rate empty.
Does the PDF record the customer's acceptance?
No. Acceptance is not stored. The page only prints the offer you typed.
