This page is not the GST portal and does not create an e-invoice. A receipt here is not a GST receipt voucher.

How to fill this in

The GST invoice rules treat a tax invoice and a bill of supply as different documents. A tax invoice is for a taxable supply by a registered person. It carries the supplier's GSTIN, a serial number, the date, the recipient, HSN or SAC where that code is required, the description, quantity, value, rate, tax, place of supply on an inter-state supply, and whether reverse charge applies.

Choose GST tax invoice to print that heading, or Bill of supply when a tax invoice is not the document you issue. A bill of supply on this page has no GST rows. For a supply in the same state, type CGST and SGST. For a supply to another state, type IGST only. The page does not create an e-invoice IRN.

Choose A4 or US Letter before you download. Empty dates, rates, and business numbers stay empty.

FAQ

How is a GST tax invoice different from a bill of supply?

A tax invoice charges GST on a taxable supply. A bill of supply is used where a tax invoice is not issued, and this page prints no GST lines for it.

When do I use IGST instead of CGST and SGST?

Use IGST for a supply to another state. Use CGST and SGST together for a supply within the same state.

Does this file the invoice on the GST portal?

No. You download a PDF of what you typed. No IRN is generated.
